Wow. That was really nice. It was beautifully constructed, and the pacing was perfect, never too fast or too slow. I loved the subtle and slow way you revealed that the piano player was Jones, the slow warm-up and exchange of information about superiors, and the growing bond that forms between Z and Jones. My favorite exchanges had to be the very last one ("Would you like to come up?" and "I've learned that some people find breaking and entering an awkward form of foreplay.") and the one where Z asked whether Eroica slept with all his men.

Anyway, enough babbling. I loved it. Thanks so much for writing and posting it. 

This is such a wonderfully lovely fic, and I love how you gave Jones actual character...and Z was so cute I really found myself liking him, despite not being much of a Z fan. Really enjoyed it. Great fic.


Author's Response: Thank you. I found myself liking Z as well, and I am also not much of a Z fan. I like him most when he is being praised/harassed by the Major, but there just wasn't the opportunity in this one. ^ ^

I forgot to mention when I commented on this story at the comm - I love your Z! He rings very true to canon Z, or at least the impression of him that I have from canon, which is close enough for me. ;)
